Oct. 27, 2015 LOGAN, Utah - As the 2015-16 season approaches, the Mountain West Network, powered by Campus Insiders will preview the upcoming women's basketball season in the Mountain West with a series of preseason interviews on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
The full afternoon of campus-produced interviews with coaches and student-athletes from around the conference will begin with the announcement of the 2015-16 Mountain West predicted order of finish and preseason All-Mountain West team and individual awards at approximately 11:30 a.m. Videos will be introduced on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram beginning at approximately Noon in the predicted order of finish.
Utah State's video features sophomore guard Funda Nakkasoglu and head coach Jerry Finkbeiner. In the interview led by Craig Hislop, the team's radio play-by-play announcer, the pair discuss the off-season and preview the coming year. The Aggies return one starter and six letterwinners, while welcoming nine new players to the roster.
The Aggies will hold their final fall scrimmage on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 8:15 p.m. Utah State practices from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. each day in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. All practices are open to the public. Utah State opens the season on Saturday, Oct. 31 in an exhibition game against South Dakota School of Mines at 2 p.m. The 2015-16 season will officially begin on Saturday, Nov. 14, when USU hosts Sacramento State at 2 p.m.
