Oct. 8, 2015 LOGAN, Utah - Utah State soccer (7-5-1, 2-2-0 MW) is back on the road this weekend as it continues Mountain West action at Nevada (3-7-1, 0-3-1 MW) on Friday, Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m. (MT).
All Mountain West action will continue to be broadcast through the Aggie Digital Network and the Mountain West Network, powered by Campus Insiders. Fans can catch every Utah State home match, as well as every conference match in Logan or on the road. Live stats and play-by-play information will be available through GameTracker, while updates will also be provided through the team's social media outlets.
Nevada enters the weekend with a record of 3-7-1, while going 0-3-1 in Mountain West play. Though the Wolf Pack is yet to pick up a league win, they battled to a 2-2 double-overtime draw against Air Force. Nevada's wins came at UC Davis (2-1, OT) and at home against Sacramento State (1-0) and Hawai'i (3-2).
Senior midfielder Lindsey Salcido is the leading scorer for Nevada with three goals and two assists on the year. Junior goalkeeper Kelsey Quintos has played every minute of the season in the net for the Wolf Pack. She has a goals against average of 1.26, allowing 16 goals while tallying 54 saves. Melissa Price is in her sixth season at the helm of the Nevada program, where she has compiled a 29-67-13 record.
Utah State leads the all-time series against Nevada, 10-5. The series dates back to the 2000 season, with meetings every year except for 2002. The Wolf Pack traveled to Logan last season, where the Aggies won, 4-0. The teams met twice in 2013, with Nevada winning its home contest, 2-0, while Utah State came out ahead, 2-0, in the Mountain West Tournament.
Junior forward Jessica Brooksby leads the Aggies in scoring as she has seven goals and one assist on the year. Senior Jeannie Woller is the top goalkeeper for USU, with a 6-5-1 record. She has a goals against average of 1.16, allowing 13 goals this season, while tallying 78 saves.
