TEAM NOTES
* Utah State is 3-0 to start a season for the third-straight season and for the 40th time in program history. USU head coach Tim Duryea is the eighth coach in Aggie history to win his first three games joining Stew Morrill (5), Dutch Belnap (3), Ladell Andersen (8), H. Cecil Baker (4), H.B. Lee (3), D.D. Young (5) and E. Lowell Romney (5).
* Utah State improved to 35-5 all-time against Division II opponents.
* Utah State is now 544-125 all-time in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
* Utah State is now 3-0 on the season when leading at the half, 3-0 when scoring at least 70 points, 3-0 when out-rebounding its opponents and 3-0 when shooting better from the field than its opponent. Last season, USU only out-rebounded six opponents all season.
* Utah State had season-highs in field goal attempts (62), rebounds (47) and assists (20), and tied its season-high with 13 offensive rebounds marking the third time this season that USU has registered double-digit offensive rebounds. USU also tied its season-high with 26 3-point attempts.
* Utah State's bench out-scored Union's bench, 25-14, and USU is now 3-0 on the season when its bench out-scores its opponents' bench.
* Union shot just 29.4 percent (20-of-68) from the field, which is a season-low for an Aggie opponent. Union also shot just 22.2 percent (6-of-27) from 3-point range, which is also a season-low for an Aggie opponent.
* Utah State has held each of its last two opponents to less than 27 percent shooting from 3-point range.
* Union's 15 offensive rebounds are a season-high for an Aggie opponent, while its 49 points are a season low for an Aggie opponent. Union was also just 3-of-5 from the free throw line, both season-lows for an Aggie opponent.
PLAYER NOTES
* Senior guard Chris Smith posted his first career double-double with 10 points and a career-high 11 rebounds, marking the third time this year and 15th time in his career he has grabbed at least five rebounds in a game. Smith has now scored in double-figures in all three games this year and in 23 games in his career. Overall, Smith has now scored in double-figures in eight straight games dating back to last season. Smith also tied his season-highs with two assists and one steal tonight.
* Junior wing Jalen Moore scored in double-figures for the second time this year and 35th time in his career with his 16 points. Moore also had a season-high three assists, a season-high two steals and a season-high eight rebounds, marking the third time this year and the 25th time in his career he has recorded at least five rebounds in a game.
* Sophomore forward Elston Jones had a career-high nine points and tied his career-high with nine rebounds, while adding a career-best tying two assists and a season-high two steals. He also had a season-high with one block, while playing a season-high 23 minutes.
* Senior guard Darius Perkins had a season-high eight points.
* Redshirt senior forward Grayson Moore had a career-high four points and tied his career-high with four rebounds, while also tying his career-high with one block in a career-best 16 minutes.
* Senior wing Trace Cureton scored a season-high three points, his first of the season, had his first assist of the season, and tied his season-high with two rebounds in a season-best seven minutes.
* Redshirt junior forward Lew Evans tied his season-high with two assists.
* Sophomore guard Henry Bolton III played a season-high six minutes and had his first assist of the season.
