Sept. 20, 2015 LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's men's golf team will continue its fall schedule this week as it travels to South Bend, Ind., to compete in the Notre Dame-hosted Fighting Irish Classic on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 21-22.
The 54-hole tournament, which will be played at the Warren Golf Course, gets underway Monday, Sept. 21 at 9:30 a.m. (CT). The tournament consists of two rounds on Monday and a final round Tuesday that starts at 8:30 a.m. (CT). The Warren Golf Course is a par-71 and plays at 7,023 yards.
Twelve teams are scheduled to compete in this week's tournament, including Ball State, Dartmouth, DePaul, Eastern Michigan, Loyola (Md.), Notre Dame, St. Mary's (CA), Utah State, William & Mary, Wisconsin, Wofford and Xavier.
Scheduled to compete for the Aggies is senior Seokwon Jeon (Salt Lake City, Utah), juniors Tanner Jenson (Parker, Colo.), Eli Rogers (Hamilton, Mont.) and McCoy Willey (St. George, Utah), and sophomore Braxton Miller (Boise, Idaho).
Utah State began its fall season last weekend by finishing 10th out of 16 teams with a 15-over 879 (292-287-300) at the Air Force-hosted Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational. Jeon led the Aggies as he tied for 15th-place with a 1-under 215 (74-69-72). Miller finished tied for 35th-place at 5-over 221 (71-75-75), as did Willey (74-70-77). Rogers placed tied for 42nd at 6-over 222 (73-73-76) and Jenson finished in 75th-place at 13-over 229 (76-76-77).
