Jaime Barajas Falls at ITA All-Americans on Monday

TULSA, Okla. - Utah State men's tennis junior Jaime Barajas fell on the opening day of qualifying play at the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championship in Tulsa, Okla., on Monday.

Barajas's opening round matchup was against Wake Forest's Christian Serephim, and the Demon Deacon took the match, 6-3, 6-2. Barajas will play again tomorrow in the qualifying consolation draw. His matchup will be against LSU's Justin Butsch

Overall, the Mountain West went 1-3 in singles on the opening day of qualifying play as New Mexico's Hayden Sabatka and Bart Van Leijsen both lost, while UNLV's Alex Cozbinov won.
