Dec. 2, 2016 LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's basketball (6-1) is back on the road for an in-state game at Utah (6-0) on Saturday, Dec. 3. The Aggies and Utes will meet at 2 p.m.
Saturday's game will be streamed online through Utah Live Stream and the Pac-12. Live stats and play-by-play information will be available through StatBroadcast, while updates will also be provided through the team's social media outlets. Utah State women's basketball games are also broadcast on the radio through KVNU. Games will be played at 107.7 FM in Cache Valley with Craig Hislop on the call. Links to each option will be available online prior to every game.
Utah enters Saturday's game with a perfect 6-0 record, including a 3-0 record at home. Utah and Utah State have both defeated Montana State this season, while the Utes also topped Fresno State and USU's next opponent, Utah Valley. The Utes hosted Southern Utah earlier this week, defeating the Thunderbirds, 69-43.
Utah returns four starters from last year's roster, when the team went 18-15 overall and 8-10 in Pac-12 play. Redshirt junior forward Emily Potter leads the Utes both offensively and defensively this season, averaging 16.7 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. As a team, Utah is shooting 44.0 percent (169-of-384) from the floor, 26.4 percent (33-of-125) from the 3-point line and 68.6 percent 81-of-118) from the free throw line. Lynne Roberts is in her second season at the helm at Utah, where she has an overall record of 24-15.
Utah leads the all-time series between the two teams, 31-4. All four of Utah State's wins over the Utes have come in Logan, while the Aggies are 0-18 at the Huntsman Center. Utah State's last victory against Utah came in a 77-61 win on Nov. 19, 2013.
For Utah State, sophomore guard Rachel Brewster leads the team in scoring, averaging 14.4 points per game. Freshman forward Shannon Dufficy is tops in the rebound column, averaging 9.5 per game. In all, the Aggies are shooting 40.3 percent (181-of-449) from the field, 39.8 percent (37-of-93) from the 3-point line and 66.7 percent (70-of-105) from the free throw line.
