USU Volleyball Back at Home with Matches Against New Mexico & UNLV

Utah State volleyball (12-10, 4-6 MW) continues its 2017 season this week with a pair of home contests. The Aggies will host New Mexico (11-12, 3-7 MW) on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m., followed by a match with UNLV (8-15, 4-6 MW) on Saturday, Oct. 28, at noon.

The Series with New Mexico
New Mexico leads the all-time series with Utah State, 17-12, and took the first match between the two schools, 3-0, in Albuquerque earlier this year. However, USU has won two of the last three matches, sweeping the Lobos during the 2016 season.

The Series with UNLV
UNLV leads the all-time series with Utah State, 8-3, but Utah State won the last match, 3-1, in Las Vegas earlier this year. The victory capped a three-match winning streak for the Aggies, their best start in conference play since the 2013 season.

On the cusp of 100
Utah State head coach Grayson DuBose needs just one more victory in league play to record his 100th conference win at the helm of USU.

Winning Offensively
Utah State is undefeated (12-0) and has collected all of its victories this season when leading its opponent in hitting percentage.

Winning with .200
Utah State is best offensively when hitting .200 or better, carrying an overall mark of 11-1.

Winning with Quick Starts
Utah State is best when getting an early lead over its opponent, as the Aggies are 9-1 this season when capturing the first set.

Mountain West Team Leaders
Utah State is among the top five in the Mountain West in several statistical categories, including second in digs per set (14.80), third in service aces per set (1.43), fourth in blocks per set (2.40) and opponent hitting percentage (.194), and fifth in hitting percentage (.209) and assists per set (12.05).

Mountain West Individual Leaders
Senior outside Lauren Anderson is second in both kills per set (3.97) and points per set (4.55). Junior libero Tasia Taylor is second in the Mountain West with 4.75 digs per set and junior setter Kassidy Johnson is second in the league with 10.43 assists per set.
