Utah State Back in Action on Saturday Night

- Utah State (5-6) will host Life Pacific (6-6) on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 7 p.m., in its only game this week. Fans can listen to the game on the Aggie Sports Network or watch the game via the Mountain West Network, online at utahstateaggies.com/watch.

- Utah State has never faced Life Pacific, but has never lost a regular season game against a non-Division I opponent and is a perfect 24-0 against NAIA schools since 1973.

- Utah State is 565-137 all-time inside the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum, including a 3-1 mark this season, and has had a winning record at home each of the past 35 seasons.

- Utah State has appeared to right the ship at the free throw line over the past two games, shooting better than 75 percent at the line in both games against UC Irvine and against Utah.

- Utah State has scored more points off turnovers than its opponents in each of the last three games.

- Utah State has distributed the ball well this season, logging double-digit assists in all but one contest this season.

- Utah State has a plus-1.7 advantage on the offensive glass over its opponents this season, totaling 118 offensive rebounds to the oppositions' 99.

- Junior guard DeAngelo Isby and junior forward Quinn Taylor each eclipsed 20 points against Utah and both came off of the bench during the game. The performances marked the first time a Utah State player came off of the bench to score 20 points since TeNale Roland scored 20 points against San Jose State on Jan. 4, 2014.

- The game also marked the first time a Utah State duo has scored 20 points apiece since Sam Merrill and Koby McEwen scored 22 and 23 points, respectively, against San José state on Feb. 22, 2017.

Scouting Life Pacific
Life Pacific, an NAIA program in San Dimas, Calif., will be playing in its 19th game of the season on Saturday night and carry an overall mark of 6-6 on the year. Many of the Warriors' games have been played as exhibitions.

Against NAIA competition, LPC is averaging 78.3 points per game and led by four players in double figures in senior forward Jonathan Cortez (17.5 ppg), senior guard Mark Eden (16.3 ppg), freshman guard Trey Huckabay (13.8 ppg) and senior forward James Noble (13.2 ppg). The Warriors have shot 45.0 percent (327-of-727) from the floor, 33.1 percent (97-of-293) from behind the 3-point line and 68.9 percent (188-of-273) at the free throw line in games counting towards their record.

Defensively, teams have averaged 80.8 points per game and have shot 47.0 percent (348-of-731) from the floor, 37.0 percent (85-of-230) from behind the 3-point line and 61.0 percent (189-of-310) at the free throw line. Junior guard Chez Lister leads LPC with 15 steals on the year and Cortez leads the team with five blocks.

Head coach Tim Cook is in his second year at the helm of the Life Pacific program.

Aggie Longevity
Senior guard Julion Pearre is rapidly approaching his 100th career game in a Utah State uniform, having played in 96 over the course of his career.

Bench Performers
Utah State's 57 points from the bench in the game against Utah on Dec. 9 are the most scored by the Aggies in recent history. The closest mark came on March 5, 1988, against Pacific, where the bench turned in 55 points in a 102-73 USU victory.

Foundations in the Rotation
Utah State has used five different starting lineups this season, but the trio of sophomore guard Sam Merrill, junior forward Dwayne Brown, Jr., and senior forward Alex Dargenton has appeared in all five.
