Recap | Box Score | Notes

Utah State head coach Tim Duryea
"They did to us what we did to them in Logan. They manhandled us on the boards. We haven't been manhandled like that on the boards since BYU the game. We were playing big and we were playing small. I told our guys in the locker room 'I don't care if we have five guards on the floor, it is no excuse, we have to be more physical than that.' We lose the lead on rebounding and a couple of key turnovers that led to transition baskets.

"When you look at the stat sheet, I don't think it tells the story in terms of percentages, but it is an easy game to figure out. You get beat 45 to 29 on the boards and give up 20 offensive rebounds, you are not winning that game.

"We did a lot of really good things offensively, but our percentages were not great. Most of that is because our two freshmen guards are struggling in knocking down shots. They are doing other things, but it is no secret that they are struggling from the field, they go 2-for-14. They'll get through it and they'll get better. It is just growing pains that they are going through, but they just have to keep banging on the door and eventually it will turn."

Sophomore forward Norbert Janicek
"We went into the game as the number one rebounding team in the conference and just didn't take care of our business on the boards on either end. They had 20 offensive rebounds and that is what killed us."
