USU head coach Tim Duryea:
"Really just an embarrassing effort. A flat start, no resistance defensively. Just not in the mindset to compete and to compete as hard as you have to compete to play here. This really comes down to that. It doesn't matter what your game plan is, what you're trying to get accomplished. If you don't play hard enough and have a mindset to compete, battle, set your jaw, dig your feet in and make a stand… We did not start the game that way, made a little run there and got within five points, then just, again, showed no willingness to compete. Mental breakdowns, physical breakdowns. We were very flat, really, yesterday and today. I was hoping I was wrong, but thought we were flat and we were. They're different to play against because of the way they guard you. They're different. You have to get a feel for that. But, in the meantime, you have to compete and get stops and give yourself a chance to settle into the game and we just didn't do that."

USU junior forward Dwayne Brown Jr.:
"We didn't execute, we weren't ready, we weren't focused and it shows on that stat line. We couldn't make shots. Hats off to them for converting on the turnovers, and hats off to them for playing hard on the defensive side."
