Utah State Headed To The Islands To Take On Hawai’i

Fans can watch the game via the Mountain West Network through the MW’s digital media partner, Stadium, on WatchStadium.com

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State continues Mountain West play this weekend with a road game at Hawai'i on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 10 p.m. (MT).
 
The Aggies are currently ranked 18th in the nation in The Associated Press poll and 20th in the Coaches poll. It is the first time USU has been nationally ranked since the 2012 campaign, when that team was ranked for four consecutive weeks and ended the season ranked 16th in the AP poll, 17th in the Coaches poll and 23rd in the final BCS standings.
 
WATCH LIVE: Utah State's game at Hawai'i will be distributed outside the state of Hawaii via the Mountain West Network through the MW's digital media partner, Stadium, on WatchStadium.com. SEVENTH HEAVEN: Utah State's current seven-game winning streak is tied for the fifth-longest active winning streak in the nation, trailing only Central Florida (20), Alabama (10), Notre Dame (9) and Clemson (8). The Aggies (7-1, 4-0 Mountain West) and Michigan have each won seven in a row. Furthermore, USU's seven-game winning streak is tied for the second-longest in school history as the 1960 team holds the school record with nine wins in a row.
 
LIGHT IT UP: Under sixth-year head coach Matt Wells, Utah State has scored 50-plus points this season and 60 or more points three times, both of which are school records. Overall, the Aggies have scored 50-plus points 12 times and 60 or more points five times under Wells, which are also school records. Prior to Wells, E. Lowell "Dick" Romney (1919-48) held the school record with six 50-point games in 29 seasons, while John Ralston (1959-62) and Tony Knap (1963-66) shared the school record for most 60-point games with two each.
 
The Aggies scored 60-plus points in back-to-back games for the first time in school history this year and have scored 50-plus points in back-to-back games three times in school history, all under Wells. Utah State opened the 2018 campaign by scoring 30-plus points in its first six games and scored 40-plus points in five straight, both of which are school records.
 
EIGHT IS GREAT: Utah State has scored eight non-offensive touchdowns this season, which is tied for first in the nation, along with Temple. The Aggies have scored four special teams touchdowns and four defensive touchdowns.
 
ABOUT THE RAINBOW WARRIORS: Hawai'i is 6-4 overall and 3-2 in Mountain West play following a 50-20 loss at Fresno State last weekend. The Rainbow Warriors are led by sophomore quarterback Cole McDonald, who is 214-of-343 passing for 2,832 yards, 30 touchdowns and four interceptions. Junior running back Dayton Furuta leads UH in rushing with 436 yards and two touchdowns on 83 carries, while junior wide receiver John Ursua has caught 76 passes for 1,083 yards and 14 touchdowns. Defensively, the Rainbow Warriors are led by senior linebacker Jahlani Tavai, who has 72 tackles, including 5.5 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks.
 
USU-UH SERIES HISTORY: The Aggies are 9-6 all-time against the Rainbow Warriors, including a 4-4 road record. USU has won four straight in the series, including two in a row on the islands.
