LOGAN, UTAH – Utah State senior setter Kassidy Johnson has been named honorable mention all-Mountain West, as announced by the conference offices on Monday.
"I am happy for Kassidy and for our team that she was recognized by our conference coaches as an all-conference volleyball player," head coach Grayson DuBose said. "She is a wonderful volleyball player and fantastic person. I am sure she will give all the credit to her teammates because that is who she is. She exemplifies what being a student-athlete is all about, a hard worker on the court and in the classroom."
Johnson finished the season with 944 total assists, averaging 8.43 per set to rank fourth in the league. She wrapped up her career with 2,366 total assists over her four years to rank No. 7 all-time in Utah State history.
Johnson was also strong on the back row this season, finishing second on the team with 302 digs, averaging 2.70 per set. Johnson was able to couple her assisting and digging prowess to put together a team-best 12 double-doubles, which also ranked among the top five of the Mountain West this season. Johnson's dig total doubled her career total and was the most by a setter since the 2014 season.
