USU head coach Tim Duryea:
"Tough night. We tried. Our 'want-to' was where it needed to be. We just didn't play very well. Our shooting percentage is indicative of the quality of shots we got. We were out of sync, out of sorts. We had lineups out there that didn't know what they were doing with each other, haven't practiced with each other, haven't practiced that position. Just really chaos on the offensive end. Because of that, we took poor shots and because of that, we shot a poor percentage. Defensively, I was a little disappointed in just our one-on-one, take the challenge, guard the ball-type mentality. I didn't think we were very good there in the first half for sure. Had live ball turnovers that created a lot of offense for them. That was really what we preached coming in. The two things we had to do were get back in transition and not have live-ball turnovers, and at half we had given up 18 transition points. Just kind of a recipe for disaster there."

USU sophomore guard Diogo Brito:
"It was a tough game. We had a pretty good plan for the game and we executed pretty well in the first minutes of the first. But then they went on the first run at the end of the first half. Coming into the second half, unlike the game back in Logan, we were just not able to respond. We just had two or three bad possessions at the beginning, we got into foul trouble early in the game and that didn't allow us to get back in the game."
