USU head coach Sean McInerney
On the match:
"We came out and it was a very professional performance. We came out, we were smart, we competed, we found ways to win when things were a little up and down with ball striking. But, our energy and our choices were really good. I was really happy to come out here and be able to win all of the seven singles matches we played and the three doubles against a good, scrappy team. We'll take this and we'll move on. I'm just excited for conference to start."

On senior Sabrina Demerath and sophomore Hannah Jones coming back in singles after losing their first sets:
"We've been talking about that, about staying the same, staying consistent, letting your opponents come back to you when you're playing really well. They both did a really good job, probably not playing the best match of their life, but finding, in the end, a way to win. We've been focusing on that a lot, and we've been playing really good singles."

On getting the win heading into conference play:
"We had a really good non-conference schedule, so we're definitely ready, more ready than we've ever been, to play in the Mountain West. We're going to start with Colorado State who is a very good program, and then Wyoming who I feel is the best-coached team in the conference. We're ready to go. We can't wait to get to Colorado and then Wyoming and see where we are."

"It was a really good match for Utah State today. We came out and we were really professional against this team. We were very calm and did our best today. We finished out the match, so it's really good. No one lost, so it's really great."

On coming out strong in doubles:
"Sabrina (Demerath) and I, we're both seniors, so we knew what to do at one doubles. We took care of business today."
