LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head football coach
Matt Wells will begin his weekly radio show on Tuesday, Aug. 28. Café Sabor, located at 600 W. Center Street in Logan, will host the majority of the shows each week.
The Logan Golf & Country Club will host the show on Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 7-8 p.m., while Café Sabor in Layton will play host on Tuesday, Oct. 23, from 7-8 p.m.
Two football student-athletes will join Wells each week on his show, which will air from 7-8 p.m. on KZNS 1280 AM/97.5 FM, the flagship station for Aggie Athletics. The show gives USU fans an opportunity to ask questions and interact with the coach and players.
Giveaways and prizes will be given out to those attending the shows at Café Sabor.
Wells' radio show will also be carried throughout the state of Utah on the Aggie Sports Network in Logan on KBLU 92.3 FM, KRPX 100.3 FM in Moab, KRPX 95.9 FM in Orangeville, KRPX 95.3 in Price, KRPX 102.7 FM in Green River, and KACH 1340 AM/105.5 FM in Preston, Idaho.
Host Scott Garrard will recap the last game, preview the upcoming game and take questions from the audience and listeners. The show will air each Tuesday.
Utah State, which returns 18 starters (O-9, D-9) and 48 letterwinners (O-19, D-27, S-2) from last year's NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl team, opens the 2018 season on Friday, Aug. 31, at Michigan State and begins its home season the following weekend against New Mexico State on Saturday, Sept. 8. Mountain West play begins for USU two weekends later as it hosts Air Force on Saturday, Sept. 22.
