LOGAN, Utah – Utah State will remain at home this week when the Aggies welcome Air Force to Maverik Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 22, in the Mountain West opener for both teams.
USU enters the game with an overall mark of 2-1 after defeating FCS-opponent Tennessee Tech 73-12 last Thursday night. The Falcons, 1-1 overall, are coming off a bye and haven't played since Sept. 8, when they lost 33-27 at Florida Atlantic. Gates at Maverik Stadium will open at 6 p.m., with kickoff slated for 8:15 p.m.

WATCH LIVE: Saturday's Mountain West contest will be nationally televised on ESPN2 with Roy Philpott (play-by-play) and Tom Ramsey (analyst) on the call.

FOLLOW THE FLAG NATIONAL ANTHEM PRESENTATION: During Saturday's National Anthem, individuals from the Follow the Flag non-profit group, based out of Pleasant Grove, Utah, along with local military veterans, reserves, first responder and USU Air Force and Army ROTC units, will unfurl a 150-x-75-foot American Flag. The flag is affectionately known as Big Betsy and is the largest free-flying flag in the world. Each Independence Day, this flag is flown over Grove Creek Canyon in Pleasant Grove. AG DAY BBQ: Utah State will celebrate its proud agricultural history and the vital role of Utah State University's Agricultural accomplishments. Fans can take part in the annual Utah Agricultural Products BBQ (Ag Day BBQ). The BBQ will feature local Utah meat, produce and dairy products. The event will be held at Craig Aston Park (1307 N. 800 East in Logan). The cost is $12 for adults (11 & older), $10 for students with a current USU ID card and $5 for children between the ages of 3 and 10. Online purchases carry an additional $1.50 convenience fee per ticket.

EXTRA YARD FOR TEACHERS (TEACHER APPRECIATION): Teachers from local schools will be recognized on-field between the first and second quarters of Saturday night's game against Air Force. The teachers will receive an Extra Yard for Teachers award for their work in the classroom and dedication to education. Fans are asked to bring general school supplies to donate at the gates. MACEYS FAN FEST: Prior to the Aggies and Falcons kicking off, Utah State Athletics will host the Maceys Fan Fest from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on 800 East just west of Maverik Stadium. Fans are invited to tailgate with other Aggies as activities will include live music, inflatable toys, games, giveaways and special appearances from the Utah State gymnastics and volleyball teams.
