LOGAN, Utah – Utah State soccer (1-7-0, 0-1-0 MW) continues the first weekend of Mountain West play as it hosts Nevada (3-4-2, 0-1-0 MW) on Sunday, Sept. 23, at 1 p.m.
All regular-season home and Mountain West matches will continue to be broadcast as a USU Athletics Production on the Mountain West Network. All video feeds will be available live and in archive form at utahstateaggies.com/watch. Live stats and play-by-play information will be available through SIDEARM, while updates will also be provided through the team's social media outlets. Nevada enters Sunday's match with a 3-4-2 record, having opened the Mountain West season in a 2-1 loss at Boise State. Freshman forward Payton Lieb leads the Nevada offense with three goals and one assist on the year, while three other players have each recorded an assist. Freshman Kendal Stovall has played the entirety of the season in the net, tallying 45 saves while allowing 10 goals.
Erin Otagaki is in her second season as the head coach at Nevada, where she has an overall record of 4-22-2. Utah State leads the all-time series against Nevada, 12-6-0, including a 7-0-0 record in matches played in Logan. Last season, the Aggies posted a 4-0 win over the Wolf Pack in Reno.
For the Aggies, freshman forward Sara Noel leads the team with four goals on the season, while sophomore midfielder Ashley Cardozo has two assists. Senior goalkeeper Grace McGuire has played the majority of time in the net, tallying 26 saves and allowing 12 goals.
