LOGAN, Utah - Utah State soccer lost a 1-0 decision against Air Force on Friday afternoon, marking the first victory for the Falcons in Logan in series history.
The Aggies (6-10-1, 1-7-1 MW) recorded more shots (17-12) and logged more corners (10-4) than their counterparts for the second consecutive match, but the ball never found the back of the net for the home side. Senior forward Alecia Robinson and junior defender Imelda Williams led Utah State with three shots apiece, while Williams led USU with two shots on goal.
Air Force (10-5-1, 5-4-0 MW) scored the only goal of the match in the ninth minute when Emily Benner found the back of the net off of a Falcon corner kick served up by Alex Giggie.
Utah State will be back in action on Sunday, hosting Colorado College at 1 p.m. The Aggies will then wrap up the regular season at home against Boise State on Friday, Nov. 1, at 3 p.m.
