LOGAN, Utah – Utah State junior quarterback
Jordan Love has been named the College Sports Madness Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week following his performance in the Aggies' 37-35 road win against Fresno State this past Saturday night at Bulldog Stadium in Fresno, Calif.
Love completed 30-of-39 passes for 388 yards and two first-half touchdowns – both to graduate transfer wide receiver
Siaosi Mariner.
Down 35-34 with the 3:05 left in the game, the Aggies got the ball back on their own 47-yard line after forcing Fresno State to go three-and-out and punting. Love drove Utah State to the Bulldogs' 10-yard line and two plays later, senior placekicker
Dominik Eberle kicked the game-winning field goal from 30 yards out as time expired.
With his two touchdown passes against the Bulldogs, Love now has 11 TD passes on the season and 51 in his career. It was his third multi-touchdown game this season and 13th in his career.
Love has now passed for 7,600 career yards as he moved ahead of Chuckie Keeton (7,393) and into second place all-time in school history. Jose Fuentes holds the school record with 9,168 career passing yards. Love also moved ahead of Kent Myers (7,532) and into fourth place all-time in school history with 7,938 yards of total offense.
