Box Score FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Though the team led at least once in each set, Utah State volleyball dropped a three-set match at No. 12 Colorado State Thursday.
The Aggies kept things close in the early half of each set, but the Rams pulled out the win, 25-15, 25-22, 25-13.
After scoring the first two points of the match, USU later used a four-point run to take an 9-5 lead. The score was later tied at 12 before CSU surged ahead to win the set. In the second set, the Aggies capitalized on kills and some Ram miscues to lead 11-10. Utah State continued to fight, never trailing by more than four through the remainder of the set. The Aggies then led at the 8-7 mark in the third set before the Rams utilized a 13-1 run to end the match.

Whitney Solosabal had a team-high five kills. Sophomore middle blocker
Corinne Larsen tallied four kills, finishing the match with zero errors for the fifth time this season. The Aggies were even with the Rams in blocks, as each team recorded six. Senior opposite side hitter
Izzie Belnap led USU with four block assists.
In all, Utah State hit .054 (18-14-74) to Colorado State's .311 (50-18-103).
The Aggies will now make the short trip to Laramie, Wyo., to play their final road contest of the season. Utah State will take on Wyoming on Friday, Nov. 15, at 6:30 p.m. The team then returns home to close the season with matches against San Diego State and Fresno State on Thursday, Nov. 21 and Saturday, Nov. 23, respectively.
