LOGAN, Utah – Utah State senior placekicker Dominik Eberle garnered Pro Football Focus (PFF) Honorable Mention All-American accolades, it was announced Monday morning.

Eberle is the second Aggie to earn PFF All-American honors, joining current teammate David Woodward, who garnered first-team accolades at linebacker during his sophomore campaign in 2018.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Eberle leads the Aggies in scoring this season with 97 points as he is a perfect 40-of-40 on extra points and 19-of-22 on field goals. Earlier this year, he set the Utah State and Mountain West record for field goals made in a career after going 4-for-5 against Wyoming, as he is now 62-of-79 on field goals in his career. The previous school record was 59 field goals made by Brad Bohn (1997-2000), while the previous MW record was 57 field goals made by Utah's Louis Sakoda (2005-08).

Eberle has now scored a school-record 348 career points, bettering the previous mark of 308 set by running back Robert Turbin (2007-09, '11). He is a perfect 162-for-162 on extra points in his career, which is another school record.

The native of Nuremberg, Germany, has twice garnered Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week accolades this season, once after the Aggies beat Wyoming 26-21, and again after he connected on a 30-yard field goal as time expired to lift Utah State to a thrilling 37-35 road victory at Fresno State.

Utah State closed out the regular season this past Saturday with a 38-25 victory at New Mexico to improve to 7-5 overall and 6-2 in Mountain West play. The Aggies, bowl eligible for the eighth time in the last nine years, now await their 2019 postseason plans. Bowl game matchups will be officially announced on Sunday, Dec. 8.

Eberle was one of 12 Mountain West players to be named to the PFF All-American Team, joining Air Force's Geraud Sanders (wide receiver, third team), Nolan Laufenberg (offensive guard, HM) and Scott Hattok (offensive tackle, HM); Boise State's Curtis Weaver (edge defender, second team) and Avery Williams (punt returner, second team); San Diego State's Keith Ismael (center, third team), Kyahva Tezino (linebacker, HM), Dwayne Johnson Jr. (safety, honorable mention) and Luq Barcoo (flex defense, HM); Wyoming's Logan Wilson (linebacker, first team) and Austin Conway (punt returner, HM).

Additionally, Utah's Zack Moss and Tyler Huntley earned first- and third-team honors at running back and quarterback, respectively, while Julian Blackman was a first-team selection at safety. The Utes' Brant Kuithe was a third-team honoree at tight end and Jaylon Johnson was an honorable mention pick at cornerback.
