Utah State (18-6, 8-3 MW) returns to the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum, hosting Wyoming (6-17, 2-8 MW) on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m.
Opening Tips
• Utah State's eight victories in the Mountain West this season are the second-most wins for the Aggies since joining the league in 2013-14.
• Utah State is 10-1 at home this season, marking the third-most victories at home among MW schools. The Aggies have recorded double-digit victories at home for 25 consecutive seasons.
• Utah State has followed up every loss this season with a victory, avoiding back-to-back losses for the first time since the 2010-11 season.

Sam Merrill has scored 20 or more points in each of Utah State's last five games and is averaging 25.2 points per game over the same stretch, while shooting 48.2 percent (41-of-85) from the floor, 43.6 percent (17-of-39) from behind the 3-point line and 87.1 percent (27-of-31) at the free throw line.
• Merrill is second in the Mountain West, averaging 20.1 points per game this season. Merrill is the first Aggie to average more than 20 points per game since the 2007-08 season (Jaycee Carroll, 22.4 ppg).
• Merrill has attempted more free throws this season (130) than each of the previous two seasons combined (127). Merrill leads the MW at the charity stripe, shooting 89.2 percent (116-of-130) at the free throw line.
• Freshman center
Neemias Queta has pulled down 10 or more rebounds in each of the last six games, including four double-double efforts against CSU (18/11), SJSU (11/11), UNLV (10/16) and FS (18/15). Queta has also recorded at least three blocks in each outing over the same six-game stretch.
• Utah State has had four different players lead the team in assists in each of the last four games.
Scouting Wyoming
Wyoming is 6-17 on the year, including a 2-8 ledger in the Mountain West, and coming off of a 74-66 victory over Colorado State that snapped a three-game losing streak.
The Cowboys are averaging 66.3 points per game and shooting 42.0 percent (498-of-1,186) from the floor, 35.7 percent (175-of-490) from behind the 3-point line and 72.2 percent (353-of-489) at the free throw line. Senior guard Justin James leads Wyoming in every individual statistics, including points (20.7), rebounds (8.6), assists (4.5), steals (1.6) and blocks (0.6).
Defensively, opponents are averaging 74.9 points per game against the Cowboys and shooting 44.9 percent (603-of-1,344) from the floor, 34.3 percent (183-of-534) from behind the 3-point line and 72.9 percent (334-of-458) at the free throw line.
Aggies Following a Loss
Utah State has followed up each of its previous five losses with a victory, averaging 76.2 points and 41.8 rebounds per contest, while the opposition averages 58.6 points and 29.5 rebounds per game. Junior guard

The Utah State/Wyoming Series - Did You Know?
• Utah State and Wyoming will play for the 80th time on Wednesday, marking the seventh-longest series in USU history.
• Wyoming leads the all-time series against the Aggies, 51-28, making it one of just three teams in the MW that has a series advantage over Utah State (San Diego State, UNLV)
• Points in the paint have proven to be critical as the team that has scored more inside has won the game 10 of the last 12 times.
• Points off turnovers have also been important, as the team that has recorded more points off turnovers has won nine of the last 12 meetings.
• Utah State has had at least three players score in double figures in all but three games against Wyoming during the MW era.
• Junior guard Sam Merrill has scored in double figures in every game against the Cowboys in his career, including a team-best 22 points in the first meeting between the two teams this season. Merrill also recorded a career-high-tying eight rebounds against Wyoming in the last contest.
