LOGAN, Utah – Utah State softball (9-13, 1-2 MW) is set for its first in-state contest of the season, as the Aggies will play at Weber State (7-15) on Wednesday, March 20, at 3 p.m.
Wednesday's game will be streamed on Watch Big Sky and Pluto TV (channel 235). Live stats will also be provided by Weber State and SIDEARM. Links to each option will be posted on the Utah State softball social media pages. Tickets to Wildcat games are $5 and can be purchased online or at the gate.
Weber State opens the week with a 7-15 overall record. The Wildcats welcome the Aggies for their first head-to-head contest of the season, coming off a 3-2 weekend at the GCU Invitational. As a team, Weber State is batting .296 (161-of-544), led by junior outfielder Takesha Saltern, who is hitting .423 (30-of-71). Four pitchers have seen time in the circle for the Wildcats, posting a combined ERA of 6.44. Senior Tatiana Su'esu'e leads the group with a 3.88 ERA and a 4-7 individual record.
Mary Kay Amicone is in her sixth season as the head coach at Weber State, where she has an overall record of 169-126-1. Utah State leads the all-time series against Weber State, 35-17. The Aggies have the slight edge in games played in Ogden, leading 10-8 .
For the Aggies, junior third baseman Erin Kuba leads the team at the plate, batting .350 (14-of-40). As a team, USU is batting .281 (162-of-576). In the circle, sophomore Delaney Hull leads the pitching staff with a 5.39 ERA, while the three pitchers have allowed 166 hits and 113 earned runs with a combined 5.95 ERA.
