LOGAN, Utah – Utah State softball (11-14, 2-3 MW) returns to Mountain West play this weekend, taking on Colorado State (24-4, 6-0 MW) in a three-game road series. The Aggies and Rams will open competition on Friday, March 29, in a 4 p.m. game, with contests following on Saturday, March 30, and Sunday, March 31, at 1 p.m., and noon, respectively.
All of the 2019 Mountain West games, as well as all USU home games, will continue to be broadcast as a USU Athletics Production on the Mountain West Network. All video feeds will be available live and in archive form at utahstateaggies.com/watch. Live stats will also be provided by SIDEARM for all home games, while road contests will also have live stats available. Links to each option will be available online prior to every game. In-game updates will also be provided through the team's social media outlets.

Colorado State enters the weekend with a 24-4 record, including a Mountain West-best 6-0 ledger in conference play. The Rams have won 15-straight games, with their last loss coming to UCLA on Feb. 24. Colorado State welcomes the Aggies off an in-state contest at Northern Colorado, where it won, 4-3. In its last Mountain West action, CSU swept New Mexico (9-7, 9-1, 16-3) on the road. The Rams are currently receiving Top-25 votes in both softball polls.
As a team, Colorado State is batting .333 (247-of-741), led by junior third baseman Corina Gamboa, who is hitting .412 (35-of-85). Colorado State has scored 212 runs this year, tallying 193 RBIs and allowing 69 runs. Three pitchers have seen time in the circle for the Rams, posting a combined ERA of 2.21. Redshirt freshman Taylor Gilmore has a team-low 1.57 ERA, while junior Jessica Jarecki leads the group with a 10-1 record.
Jen Fisher is in her ninth season as the head coach at Colorado State, where she has an overall record of 222-208. Utah State leads the all-time series against Colorado State, 38-21. USU also has the lead in games played in Fort Collins, up 15-9.
For the Aggies, freshman shortstop Lexi Orozco leads the team at the plate, batting .357 (25-of-70). As a team, USU is batting .281 (180-of-640). In the circle, sophomore Delaney Hull leads the pitching staff with a 5.69 ERA in 14 starts, while the three pitchers have allowed 188 hits and 127 earned runs with a combined 5.93 ERA.
