LOGAN, Utah – Utah State men's tennis (15-8, 3-1 MW) will hit the road this weekend for a pair of conference matches against Fresno State (13-9, 3-1 MW) on Friday, April 12, at 6 p.m. (MT), and Nevada (8-8, 1-3 MW) on Sunday, April 14, at 3 p.m. (MT).

Both matches will have live stat feeds and will be provided on UtahStateAggies.com.

"Both of these matches are crucial for our team and I believe we have had good preparation the last few days," said head coach James Wilson. "We definitely have to come out with a sense of urgency against Fresno State, who has been one of the best teams in our conference the last few years. I look forward to seeing how our guys respond to being on the road against some tough competition."

The Aggies are led by sophomore Felipe Acosta, who is 17-3 and leads the team with five match-clinching victories this season. Overall, Acosta has clinched the match for the Aggies six times over the course of his career. Additionally, Acosta has surpassed his singles win total from last season (16) and currently has 22. Junior Duro Opacic has 15 wins on the season and is currently tied for fifth in single-season singles wins with 24. Sophomore Jose Carvajal is tied for 18th with 70 combined singles and doubles win.

Fresno State leads the overall series, 14-5, but the Aggies will be looking for their fourth-consecutive win against Bulldogs, as they have also won five of the last six matches. Fresno State is led by Zdenek Derkas, who is 16-6 at the No. 1 spot, while the doubles team of Derkas and Cem Erturk sit at 7-3 at the No. 2 spot.

Nevada leads the all-time series, 26-13, and the Aggies have won the last three matches, most notably a 4-3 home victory on April 6, 2018. The Wolf Pack is led in singles by Daniel Dudockin, who is 8-2, while the doubles tandem of Julien Evrard and Kostya Nesterenko are 9-5 at the top position.
