LOGAN, Utah - Utah State director of men's basketball operations Tramel Barnes has been named one of the Top-30 coaches under the age of 30 by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.

Barnes recently completed his first season on the Utah State staff and helped the Aggies to 28 wins, the third-most in school history, both a Mountain West regular season and tournament championship, and a No. 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

"Tramel has proven to be an invaluable member of our coaching staff," head coach Craig Smith said. "He's intelligent, personable and all he cares about is the team's success. Tramel has a bright future in our profession."
