LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men's basketball will take to the island of Jamaica on Friday, Nov. 22, and Sunday, Nov. 24, where it will compete in the 2019 Jersey Mike's Jamaica Classic. The Aggies will be joined in their bracket by Rhode Island, North Texas and LSU, in Montego Bay, and will host a pair of home games against the second bracket leading up to competition in Jamaica.
The Jersey Mike's Jamaica Classic is in its third year with previous winners including Loyola Marymount and Florida State. All of the games in Jamaica will be played inside the Montego Bay Convention Centre and will be broadcast live on the CBS Sports Network.

Rhode Island finished the 2018-19 season with an overall mark of 18-15, including a 9-9 mark in the Atlantic-10. The Rams finished the year with a flourish, winning six of their last seven before falling in the semifinals of the A-10 Tournament. URI is anticipated to return each of its leading scorers in Jeff Dowtin (15.3 ppg), Cyril Langevine (14.7 ppg) and Fatts Russell (14.2 ppg). Langevine also paced the Rams on the glass last season, averaging 9.9 rebounds per contest. Utah State and Rhode Island have never faced on the hardwood.
North Texas finished its 2018-19 campaign with an overall mark of 21-12, including an 8-10 ledger in Conference USA play. The Mean Green's season came to an end in the quarterfinals of the Conference USA Tournament, falling to the No. 2-seeded Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky. UNT had six players average double figures a season ago, and is anticipated to return all but two, including its leading scorer in Umoja Gibson, who paced the team with 12.6 points per game. Utah State leads the all-time series against North Texas, 8-1, with the team last playing during the 1999-2000 season when both teams were members of the Big West Conference.
LSU advanced to the Sweet 16, finishing the 2018-19 season with an overall mark of 28-7, including a 16-2 ledger in the SEC. The Tigers ranked just outside the top-25 in scoring offense, averaging 80.4 points per game. LSU was especially potent at scoring from the charity stripe, where the Tigers were No. 10 and No. 20 in the nation with 603 makes on 802 attempts, respectively. Utah State leads the all-time series against LSU, 2-1, with the teams last playing during the 1984-85 season.
