LOGAN, Utah – With this fall kicking off the celebration of 150 years of the rich history and tradition of college football, Utah State encourages Aggie fans everywhere to show that their college colors never fade by wearing their favorite USU gear on College Colors Day, which takes place on Friday, Aug. 30.
Utah State officially kicks off its 2019 campaign on Friday with a non-conference battle against Wake Forest. The game is set to kick off at 6 p.m. (MT) at BB&T Field in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Friday's game will be televised nationally on the ACC Network (DirecTV Ch. 612, ESPN+, YouTube TV, PlayStation TV and Hulu Live TV). Live audio of the game will be available on www.UtahStateAggies.com.
The 15th annual College Colors Day is a national holiday that gives Aggie fans across the country the opportunity to showcase their spirit by wearing Aggie Blue and Fighting White, and then sharing their pride on social media using the hashtag #CollegeColorsDay.
College Colors Day was created by CLC, the university's licensing partner, to provide a unified spirit day for college fans and supporters. This year's holiday honors the kick off of the football season with a partnership with the 150th anniversary of college football.
Beyond showing their fandom on social media, fans can also visit www.CollegeColorsDay.com to enter for the chance to win a variety of prizes, including two tickets and a trip to the national championship game in New Orleans thanks to CLC's partnership with the College Football Playoff (CFP), and its charitable arm, Extra Yards for Teachers.
Utah State returns nine starters (O-2, D-7) as part of 31 letterwinners (O-13, D-16, S-2), including two All-Americans and eight players that earned various all-Mountain West honors, from last year's team that ended the season ranked 21st in the final Amway Coaches poll and 22nd in the final AP poll as the Aggies tied the school record for wins and best record with an 11-2 mark following their 52-13 win against North Texas in the New Mexico Bowl.
