FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Utah State junior golfer
Andy Hess is tied for sixth place with a 2-under-par 138 (70-68) after the first two rounds of the Colorado State-hosted Ram Masters Invitational held here Monday at the par-70, 7,218-yard Fort Collins Country Club.
Colorado State leads the 17-team field at 10-under 550 (285-265), while UTEP's Oskar Ambrosius sits on top of the leaderboard at 7-under 133 (65-68). Utah State is currently in 13th place with a 24-over 584 (293-291).
Hess began the day by carding an even-par 70 during his first 18 holes and then shot a 2-under 68 during his second round, which is his fourth-career round in the 60s and 14th-career round under par.
Other Aggies competing in the tournament include senior
Chase Lansford, who is tied for 34th place at 3-over 143 (71-72), junior
Colten Cordingley, who is tied for 64th place at 8-over 148 (75-73), sophomore
Cameron Tucker, who is tied for 89th place at 17-over 157 (77-80) and freshman
Gabe Hunter, who is tied for 93rd place at 19-over 159 (81-78).
Utah State will play its final round on Tuesday with tee times beginning at 9:15 a.m. USU will be paired with players from Grand Canyon, Houston Baptist and Pacific.
