Utah State soccer (5-3-0, 0-0-0 MW) continues its 2019 season this week and opens Mountain West play at UNLV (3-5-0, 0-0-0 MW) on Friday, Sept. 27, at 8 p.m. (MT), followed by a match at Nevada (1-6-0, 0-0-0 MW) on Sunday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m. (MT).

Last Time Out
Utah State wrapped up its non-conference schedule with a 3-0 victory over Idaho State. The Aggies' first goal came by way of an own goal against the Bengals, followed by goals by freshman forward Maya Lorenzana and sophomore forward Jordan Foraker in the 42nd and 87th minute, respectively. Lorenzana and Foraker became the 10th and 11th Aggie, respectively, to score a goal this season.
Looking at UNLV
UNLV is 3-5-0 on the year, having lost four of its last five matches, including a 3-0 defeat at home against Utah Valley in its last time out.
The Rebels are led in scoring by freshman forward Alysa Caso with a team-best two goals, followed by four teammates with one goal apiece. Sophomore defender Taylor Clark leads UNLV with two assists, followed by three more Rebels with one assist apiece. Senior midfielder Katie Ballou and senior forward McKenna Sullivan are tied for the team lead with 13 shots each, followed by freshman midfielder Izzy Perez with 12 and junior forward Robin Pollard with 10.
Sophomore keeper Emberly Sevilla has logged the most minutes in goal for UNLV this season, playing in more than 547 minutes and starting in seven matches. Sevilla has recorded 29 saves and carries a goals-against-average of 2.46.
The Series with UNLV
UNLV leads the all-time series against Utah State, 10-3-0, and has won five of the last six contests. Two of the three USU victories in the series have come in Las Vegas, including a 2-1 win in 2013, and a 2-1 victory during the 1999 season.
Looking at Nevada
Nevada is 1-6-0 on the year and has lost each of its last five matches. The Wolf Pack will host Boise State in their MW opener on Friday before welcoming the Aggies to Reno on Sunday.
Freshman midfielder Gabby Brown and freshman defender Alexis Friesen have recorded each of the Wolf Pack's two goals this season, while Brown has already recorded Nevada's only assist.
Sophomore Kendal Stovall has been the starting keeper in each of Nevada's matches this season, totaling 37 saves and carrying a goals-against-average of 1.10.
