LOGAN, Utah – Utah State placekicker Dominik Eberle was selected as one of three Lou Groza Award "Stars of the Week," it was announced Monday by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission.

The Lou Groza Award, which is presented by the Orange Bowl, recognizes three of the top Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) kickers each week. In addition to Eberle, Matt Ammendola of Oklahoma State and Cooper Garcia of UMass earned the honor for this past weekend's games.

In Utah State's 34-23 Homecoming win over Colorado State last weekend, Eberle scored 10 points as he was a perfect 2-for-2 on field goals and 4-for-4 on extra points. The senior from Nuremberg, Germany, connected on field goals from 42 and 48 yards out, respectively.

Eberle is now 140-of-140 on extra points in his career. He ranks first all-time in school history in extra points made and is tied with Nick Diaz (2010-14) for first all-time in extra point attempts.

With his 10 points scored against CSU, Eberle increased his career total to 290, which ranks first all-time in school history among kickers, moving ahead of Brad Bohn (284). Overall, Eberle now ranks second all-time at USU in career points scored behind Robert Turbin, who finished his career with 308 points.

Eberle, a 2017 Lou Groza Award Finalist, is now 7-of-8 on the season and 50-of-65 in his career on field goal attempts, including 2-of-3 this season and 13-of-21 in his career from 40-49 yards.

Eberle and the Aggies (3-1, 2-0 MW) will step out of conference play this weekend when they travel to Baton Rouge, La., to face fifth-ranked LSU (4-0, 1-0 SEC) on Saturday, Oct. 6, at Tiger Stadium. The game, which will be televised nationally on the SEC Network (Xfinity 286, Dish Network 404 DirecTV 661), will kick off at 10 a.m. (MT).
