LOGAN, Utah – Utah State football will have four former players appearing in All-Star games over the next two weekends as placekicker Dominik Eberle (Eb-err-lee) and defensive end Tipa Galeai (Tee-puh Nay-lay-eye) will play this weekend, while running back Gerold Bright and quarterback Jordan Love will play next weekend.
 
Eberle is the 33rd Aggie dating back to 1937 invited to play in the 95th East-West Shrine Game, which will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18. The game, which will be broadcast live on the NFL Network, will be played at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., and kick off at 1 p.m. (MT).
 
Eberle was named an honorable mention All-American by ProFootballFocus this year, along with garnering first-team all-Mountain West honors as he was 21-of-24 (.875) on field goal attempts and 45-of-45 on PATs this year as he scored a team-best 108 points. 
 
During his time at Utah State, Eberle set eight school records with 359 points scored, 8.34 points per game, 64 made field goals, 167 extra points made and 167 extra points attempted, and is tied for first all-time in PAT percentage at 1.000. Furthermore, his streak of 167 consecutive PATs made is also a school record and he is the only kicker in school history to have four 50-yard field goals in a career.
 
Galeai has been invited to play in the ninth-annual NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, which will be held at the historic Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Calif., on Saturday, Jan. 18. Galeai is the second Aggie to play in NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, joining Jake Simonich, who played in 2016. The game will be broadcast live on the NFL Network at 5 p.m. (MT).
 
Galeai earned second-team all-Mountain West honors this year as he was tied for first on the team with 5.0 sacks and second with 9.0 tackles for loss as part of his 55 total tackles. For his career, Galeai started 23 of the 24 games he appeared in and recorded 112 tackles, which included 15.5 sacks and 22.5 tackles for loss.
 
Love is the 22nd Utah State player selected to the Senior Bowl since 1962 and second in as many years, joining Dax Raymond from last year. The game, which will be broadcast live on the NFL Network, will be played at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala., on Saturday, Jan. 25, and kick off at 12:30 p.m. (MT).
 
Love earned honorable mention all-Mountain West honors this past season as he was 293-of-473 (.619) passing for 3,402 yards with 20 touchdowns and 17 interceptions.
 
For his career, Love set school records with 9,003 yards of total offense, 12 career 300-yard passing games and four completions of at least 80 yards. He finished his career 689-of-1,125 (.612) passing for 8,600 yards with 60 touchdowns and 29 interceptions, and ranks second all-time in school history in passing yards, completions and attempts, tied for second all-time in touchdown passes, and is third in completion percentage. He was 21-11 (.656) as USU's starting quarterback, which are the second-most wins in school history, and he is also second all-time in school history with three-career 400-yard passing games.
 
Bright has been invited to play in the Hula Bowl, which will be held on Sunday, Jan. 26. The game, which will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network, will be played at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, and kick off at 8:30 p.m. (MT). Bright will be the 11th Aggie all-time to play in the Hula Bowl and first since Donald Penn in 2006. The Hula Bowl is making its return after a 12-year absence.
 
Bright earned honorable mention all-Mountain West honors this past season as he carried the ball 182 times for 921 yards (5.1 ypc/70.8 ypg) with nine touchdowns and caught 35 passes for 230 yards (6.6 ypr) and one touchdown. For his career, Bright carried the ball 363 times for 2,145 yards (5.9 ypc) with 22 touchdowns and caught 72 passes for 704 yards (10.0 ypr) with six touchdowns. For his career, Bright ranks 10th all-time in school history in rushing yards, tied for seventh all-time in both rushing touchdowns and total touchdowns (28), and 10th in rushing average.
