LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men's basketball (5-3, 2-0 MW) continues Mountain West play this week with a pair of road games against New Mexico (3-4, 0-4 MW) on Wednesday, Jan. 6, and Friday, Jan. 8, with both games being played in Lubbock, Texas, on the campus of Lubbock Christian University. Wednesday's game will be televised on CBS Sports Network (Xfinity Ch. 269/753HD), DISH Ch. 158, DirecTV Ch. 221) and begin at 8 p.m. (MT), while Friday's game will be televised on Fox Sports 1 (Comcast Ch. 265/HD691, DirecTV Ch. 219, DISH Ch. 150) and begin at 7 p.m. (MT).
Opening Tips
• Utah State is undefeated in Mountain West play for the first time in school history, and is off to its best start in league play since the 2012-13 season, when the Aggies opened their final year in the WAC, 5-0.
• Utah State is 31-9 in MW play under head coach
Craig Smith and is 4-1 against the Lobos during Smith's tenure Overall, USU leads the all-time series 27-12 against New Mexico and has won four of the last five, including each of the last two on neutral courts.

USU's defense is averaging 8.7 steals and 5.0 blocks per game over the same stretch, while holding teams to 54.8 points per game and limiting teams to 35.7 percent (38-of-136) shooting from the floor and 27.9 percent (61-of-91) from 3-point range. The Aggies also have a plus-14.2 rebound margin and a plus-5.8 turnover margin.
• Utah State has owned the glass this season, outrebounding every opponent this year and carrying a rebounding margin of plus-11.1 to rank No. 11 in the nation. The Aggies have pulled down double-digit offensive boards in all but two games this season.
• Junior forward
Justin Bean is the current active leader in the Mountain West with 20 double-doubles in his career. Junior center
Neemias Queta is just behind with 17. Bean has logged double-digit rebounds five times this season and ranks No. 8 in school history with 30 double-digit rebounding games in his career. Bean needs one more 10-plus rebounding performance to move to No. 7 in school history and tie Leo Cunningham (1979-82) with 31.
• Freshman guard
Rollie Worster has logged more double-digit scoring games than any other rookie in Utah State history over their first 10 games. Worster currently leads the Aggies with seven double-digit scoring outings this season.
• In only nine games with the Aggies, redshirt junior guard
Marco Anthony has already surpassed every statistic that he accumulated in two years at the University of Virginia - points (115/52), rebounds (33/24), assists (21/20), steals (7/2), minutes (262/222).
• Junior guard
Brock Miller has found his shooting touch since the beginning of Mountain West play, averaging 13.3 points per game and shooting 48.8 percent (20-of-41) from the floor and 43.3 percent (13-of-30) from behind the arc. Miller opened the year averaging just 5.7 points per game and shooting 36.1 percent (13-of-36) from the floor and 41.2 percent (7-of-17) from behind the 3-point line.
• Queta ranks No. 11 in the nation with 26 total blocks, which is as much or more than 187 other teams in the nation. Queta is seven blocks away from tying the all-time school record of 155 set by Gilbert Pete (1986-89). Queta is the only player in the nation averaging more than 11 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 blocks per game.
