Box Score ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico - Utah State and New Mexico, tied for first in the Mountain West going into the match on Friday night, battled into a second overtime deadlocked at 1-1. The Lobos then converted a penalty kick a mere 30 seconds into the final period to post a 2-1 win.

The 1-1 tie extended into the half and remained deadlocked at the end of regulation. The teams were still tied following the first 10-minute overtime period, but a foul was called inside the box on the Aggies 37 seconds into the final overtime. UNM converted from the spot to come away with the 2-1 win.
New Mexico finished the match with 25 shots, including 10 on goal, while Utah State finished with 11 shots, including four on frame. Taylor led the Aggies with three shots, including two on goal, and was followed by senior forward
Sammie Murdock with two.

Utah State is back in action on Sunday afternoon, remaining on the road at San Diego State with the match scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. (MT).
