COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Utah State junior keeper
Diera Walton recorded her league-leading sixth shutout of the season as the Aggies posted a 0-0 double-overtime draw at Air Force on Thursday night. The clean sheet for Walton moves her into a tie for ninth all-time in a single season in USU history.
Walton finished the match with six saves as Air Force recorded 18 shots to the Aggies' 13. Sophomore midfielder
Alex Day led the way for USU with a team-best five shots and was followed by senior midfielder
Ashley Cardozo with three.
The tie marked the first for the Aggies in league play as USU moved to 3-3-1 in the Mountain West and 10-4-2 overall. Air Force moved to 5-7-2 overall and 2-4-1 in the Mountain West standings.
Utah State remains on the road for a match at Colorado College on Sunday, Oct. 17, at noon.
