SAN DIEGO, California - Utah State soccer lost 2-0 at San Diego State on Sunday afternoon, marking just the second time that the Aggies have been shutout this season. Senior midfielder Ashley Cardozo led USU with two shots, with both of her attempts on frame.
The teams went into the half tied at 0-0, but San Diego State was able to score goals in the 58th and 73rd minute in the second half to post the 2-0 victory. SDSU finished the game with 15 shots to the Aggies' six and also led in corner kicks with five to Utah State's two.
USU junior keeper Diera Walton finished with four saves.
Utah State returns home for its next two matches, hosting Fresno State on Friday, Oct. 8, at 4 p.m., and San José State on Sunday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m.
