LOGAN, Utah - Utah State soccer (9-3-1, 2-2-0) continues its 2021 season this week with a pair of home matches against Fresno State (4-3-3, 2-0-1) on Friday, Oct. 1, at 4 p.m., followed by San José State (6-7-0, 3-2-0) on Sunday, Oct. 8, at 1 p.m.

Hasn't Happened Very Often This Season
• Utah State encountered its first back-to-back losses of the season last week with a 2-1 double-overtime loss at New Mexico followed by a 2-0 loss at San Diego State.
• The Aggies were shut out by the Aztecs for only the second time this season, as Utah State has scored in every match except the season opener at Idaho State.
Offensive Victories
• Utah State is a perfect 7-0-0 on the year when scoring the opening goal.
• The Aggies are also 5-0-0 when leading at the half and unbeaten with a 7-0-1 mark when taking more shots than their opponents.
Defensive Victories
• Utah State is unbeaten this season, 6-0-1, when recording as many or fewer saves than the opposition.
• Junior keeper Diera Walton is second in the MW with four shutouts this season and recorded the second-most saves by a keeper in the conference with her 11-save effort at BYU on Sept. 18.

Senior midfielder Ashley Cardozo has recorded at least one goal or an assist in 10 of the Aggies' 13 matches this season. The Aggies are 9-1-0 in matches in which Cardozo logs at least one point.

• Cardozo is tied for first in the MW in total points (18) and total assists (8). Walton is one of only four keepers in the MW with a save percentage better than 80 percent and ranks second with four shutouts and 60 total saves this season.
