LOGAN, Utah – Utah State grad junior quarterback
Logan Bonner has been named the College Sports Madness Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week following his performance in the Aggies' 35-10 win at New Mexico this past Friday at University Stadium in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
In the win over the Lobos, Bonner threw a career-high five touchdown passes (27, 39, 36, 76, 10), which is tied for the most in a single game in school history, as he helped the Aggies clinch the Mountain West Mountain Division title and spot in the MW championship game.
Bonner now has 32 touchdown passes on the season and 62 in his career, and those 32 touchdowns this season are tied with
Jordan Love (2018) for the most in a single season in school history. It is the eighth-straight game and 10th time this season that Bonner has had multiple touchdowns. It is also the fifth time this year and seventh time in his career that he has thrown four touchdowns in a game.
In just three quarters of work against New Mexico, Bonner was 16-of-23 passing for 306 yards. He finished the game with a career-high 253.1 efficiency rating.
On the season, Bonner has passed for 3,236 yards, which ranks as the fifth-most in single-season school history. He is just the sixth different Utah State quarterback to pass for 3,000 yards in a season.
