Utah State’s Logan Bonner Garners Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Honorable Mention Honors for Week 10

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State's Logan Bonner earned Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award honorable mention honors for the second-consecutive week following his performance against New Mexico State in Week 10 of the season.

In Utah State's 35-13 win at New Mexico State last weekend, Bonner helped the Aggies rally from an early 10-0 deficit. He passed for 359 yards and a career-high-tying four touchdowns, to go along with one interception.

Bonner was 23-of-32 passing on the day, helping Utah State score 28 unanswered points – all in the second half – and finish with 457 yards of total offense.

The native of Rowlett, Texas, threw touchdown passes of 26 and 54 yards, respectively, to senior wide receiver Deven Thompkins, as well as a 4-yarder to senior wide receiver Derek Wright, and a 1-yarder to junior wide receiver Justin McGriff. Bonner has thrown 21 touchdown passes on the year, the fourth-most in single-season school history.

Bonner leads the Mountain West and ranks 15th in the nation in yards per completion (14.4), leads the MW and is 23rd in the nation in yards per attempt (8.82), leads the MW and is 33rd in the nation in passing efficiency (153.6), is third in the MW and 13th in the nation in passing touchdowns with 21 (2.33 pg), third in the MW and 15th in the nation in passing (276.2 ypg), third in the MW and 23rd in the nation in total offense (278.6 ypg), third in the MW and 30th in the nation in points responsible for (14.2 pg), fourth in the MW and 37th in the nation in completions (19.2 pg), and fifth in the MW and 71st in the nation in completion percentage (.613).

The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award recognizes the top offensive player who also exhibits strong characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community and tenacity. In addition, players must meet one or more of the following criteria: born in Texas and/or graduated from a Texas High School, and/or played at a Texas based junior college or four-year college.

Bonner and the Aggies (7-2, 4-1 MW) remain on the road for the second-consecutive week as they head to the Golden State, returning to conference play against West Division-foe San José State (5-5, 3-3) on Saturday, Nov. 13, at CEFCU Stadium. The game, which will be televised live on Fox Sports 1, is slated to begin at 8:30 p.m. (MT).
