SPOKANE, Wash. – Utah State men's tennis played its first road match of the season Saturday, falling to Gonzaga, 4-3.
Gonzaga earned the doubles point Saturday. Though the Bulldogs swept the three matches, USU kept it tight as both the Nos. 1 and 3 courts went to extra games.
The Aggies secured their three points in singles action. Fifth-year
Sergiu Bucur defeated Matthew Hollingworth in the No. 1 spot. The two split the first two sets, but Hollingworth retired in the third to give Bucur the win. Senior

Javier Ruiz also won in two, defeating Theo McDonald, 6-2, 7-5, in the No. 5 spot.
