LOGAN, Utah - Utah State soccer alum Amber Marshall has signed a one-year contract with the Houston Dash of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).
Marshall appeared and started in 55 matches during her three-year career in Logan, graduating from Utah State in December, 2020, with a degree in exercise science. In all, Marshall played in close to 5,000 minutes with the Aggies, totaling 4,945 minutes on the pitch.
In 2019, Marshall was named second-team all-Mountain West after appearing and starting in every match for the Aggies. She led USU with 1,760 minutes played, appearing in all but 15 minutes during the 2019 campaign. Marshall anchored the Utah State midfield, playing as a holding mid throughout most of her career. While playing in the back, Marshall totaled 49 career shots with two goals and two assists.
Going into the 2019 season, Marshall played for the Utah Royals FC Reserves during the summer, scoring two goals and helping the team to a runner-up finish.
Marshall is one of 25 players on the Houston Dash active roster and earned her spot after being named to the preseason roster back in February. The Dash open their season on April 9, looking to defend their NWSL Challenge Cup title when they host the Chicago Red Stars. The NWSL regular season begins on May 15.
