BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Fifth-year golfer Chase Lansford shot an even-par 72 as Utah State finished third overall at the South Dakota State-hosted Jackrabbit Invitational, which wrapped up Saturday at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.
 
Lansford, who tied for 12th, ended the tournament with a 54-hole total of 1-over 217 (72-73-72). Senior Colten Cordingley, currently ranked No. 23 in the nation, and redshirt junior Jesse Henderson both tied for 18th at 4-over 220.
 
Utah State finished third against the nine-team field as the Aggies posted a team score of 14-over 878 (286-302-290). No. 43 UNLV shot a 15-under 273 on Saturday to wrap up the team title at 30-under par (834), followed by Southern Utah (850, -14) in second. SUU's Jake Vincent was the individual champion as he finished at 15-under 201 (67-67-67).
 
Also for the Aggies, senior Andy Hess carded a 1-over 73 on Saturday and finished the tournament tied for 23rd at 5-over 221, while junior Cameron Tucker, playing as an individual, carded a 2-over 74 in the final round and finished tied for 37th at 14-over 230.
 
Utah State freshman Javier Vazquez tied for 52nd at 23-over 239.
 
The Aggies' next tournament will be on Monday and Tuesday, April 5-6, at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in Scottsdale, Ariz.
