LOGAN, Utah – Utah State women's basketball finalized the remainder of its 2021-22 schedule on Tuesday afternoon, announcing the upcoming season's non-conference games.
The Aggies' non-conference ledger will consist of 11 games and one exhibition, including six contests at home and six on the road. The schedule is highlighted by three meetings with in-state opponents.
"Our non-conference schedule this year includes some great competition for our squad," said second-year USU head coach
Kayla Ard. "I'm excited for our girls to compete in those tough games to help prepare us mentally and physically for Mountain West play."
The 2021-22 season will open with an exhibition against Fort Lewis College on Monday, Nov. 1. The Aggies will then begin the regular season with a two-game homestand, hosting Westminster and Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday, Nov. 9, and Saturday, Nov. 13, respectively.
Utah State will head on the road for the first time when it travels to the Golden State to take on Pac-12 opponent California on Tuesday, Nov. 16, in Berkeley. The Aggies will then return home for a single contest, taking on Loyola Marymount on Friday, Nov. 19, before traveling to Provo for a meeting with BYU on Tuesday, Nov. 23. This will mark the 43
rd time USU has faced the Cougars, the longest-standing rivalry in the program's history.
The Aggies will then travel south to Hammond, Louisiana, to face off against Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday, Nov. 27, when Ard, a Hammond native and a player at SELU from 2004-06, will have the opportunity to coach against her alma mater.
USU will open the month of December playing host to Dixie State on Wednesday, Dec. 1, before traveling to Texas to take on UTEP on Saturday, Dec. 4. The final home contest of non-conference play will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 8, when the Aggies host Arkansas State.

Jauwan Scaife played for the Cardinals' men's team from 2009-13, and ranks in the program's top-20 in career points scored. The final game before MW play will take place on Monday, Dec. 20, when Utah State goes up against Montana.
