LOGAN, Utah – Utah State wide receiver
Brandon Bowling and running back
Calvin Tyler Jr. both earned Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award honorable mention honors following their performances at Air Force in Week 3 of the season.
In the Aggies' 49-45 come-from-behind victory at Air Force last weekend, Bowling caught nine passes for a career-high 136 yards and a career-best-tying two touchdowns.
Tyler had the best game of his career last weekend at Air Force as he rushed for a career-high 132 yards and two touchdowns on a career-best 19 carries. His 61-yard touchdown run with 3:54 remaining in the fourth quarter proved to be the game-winning touchdown for the Aggies, who rallied back from four separate double-digit deficits.
SMU quarterback Tanner Mordecai was named The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Player of the Week for the third week of the college football season. He threw a 33-yard touchdown pass to Reggie Roberson Jr. on the final play of the game to give SMU a 39-37 win at Louisiana Tech in a non-conference game last Saturday night. Mordecai finished 36-of-48 for 395 yards and five touchdowns.
Bowling and Tyler were two of seven honorable mention selections.
