LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Utah State volleyball (13-5, 5-3 Mountain West) lost 3-2 to UNLV (15-3, 6-1 MW) in Las Vegas on Thursday.

After falling 25-22 in both sets one and two, USU bounced back in the third for the 25-16 win. A kill from senior outside hitter Shelby Capllonch, service ace from senior middle blocker Kennedi Boyd and Rebel attacking error gave the Aggies the 5-2 lead in set three. The teams went back and forth until an 8-2 Utah State run extended the margin to 19-9. UNLV cut the lead to six at 21-15, but a kill from graduate middle blocker Myrthe Maring, Capllonch service aces, block from Maring and sophomore opposite side hitter Adna Mehmedovic, and Rebel service error secured the 25-16 USU victory.
