LOGAN, Utah – Three Utah State gymnasts were honored by the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference following their respective performances last Friday night at Southern Utah.

Utah State freshman Brie Clark won her fifth MRGC Floor Specialist of the Week honor after scoring a 9.925 on the event to tie for first and help the 21st-ranked Aggies finish with a season-high 196.800, which is tied for second all-time in school history. Furthermore, Utah State recorded a season-high 49.375 on floor, which is tied for seventh all-time in school history.

Clark has five floor titles on the year, which is tied for 10th in single-season school history on the event.

Utah State junior Rebecca Wells tied for first on vault with a personal-best 9.900 as she was named the MRGC co-Vault Specialist of the Week. It is the third time this season and fourth time in her career that Wells has garnered weekly accolades from the MRGC.

The native of Smyrna, Tennessee, helped the Aggies notch a season-high 49.250, which ranks third all-time in school history, against the Thunderbirds.

Utah State Carley Bayles rounded out the weekly award winners, scoring a 9.900 on beam to earn MRGC Beam Specialist of the Week. It is the second time this season and in her career that the senior from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has earned weekly accolades from the MRGC.

The Aggies closed the meet on beam, their best event, against Southern Utah. Led by Bayles, all six gymnasts went 9.800 or better as Utah State recorded a 49.325 on the event.

Utah State (7-4, 3-2 MRGC) wraps up a two-meet road swing this week when the Aggies travel to Boise, Idaho, for a dual meet against No. 24 Boise State (1-2, 1-2 MRGC) on Friday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m., at ExtraMile Arena.
