Adryana Quezada Named Honorable Mention All-Mountain West

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's basketball junior guard/forward Adryana Quezada has been named honorable mention all-Mountain West as announced by the league office on Sunday.

The native of Frisco, Texas, ranks in the top-10 in league play in several statistical categories, including second in field goal percentage (.553), third in scoring (17.63 ppg), tied for fourth in double-doubles (six), ranked fifth in offensive rebounds per game (3.00), seventh in total rebounds per game (8.25) and is tied for eighth in defensive rebounds per game (5.25).

Quezada led the Aggies in scoring after finishing in double figures in 13 MW games in 2021-22, including seven games scoring at least 20 points. Quezada scored a season-high 30 points against Colorado State on Jan. 19, to tie for 37th in scoring on the USU single-game record list.

She led USU in field goal percentage during Mountain West play as she shot 55.3 percent (121-of-219) from the floor. Quezada shot 50.0 percent or better from the field in 12 league games, including six games shooting 60.0 percent or better.

The junior guard/forward had six double-doubles during conference play. Quezada led the team in rebounds after recording five-plus rebounds 14 times in MW action, including a season-high 15 boards twice.

Quezada led the Utah State in steals with 20 in league play, including a career-high six stops in the 63-55 victory against Boise State (Feb. 12). She is fourth on the team in assists (33) and tied for fourth in blocks (8).

Utah State and Fresno State will square off on Sunday, March 6, in the first round of the 2022 Air Force Reserve Mountain West Women's Basketball Tournament. The No. 9-seeded Aggies and No. 8-seeded Bulldogs will tip-off at 3 p.m. (MT) inside the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
