LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head volleyball coach Rob Neilson announced the team's 2022 schedule on Friday. USU will face six 2021 NCAA Tournament teams, including four that finished the campaign ranked in the top 25, in the upcoming season.

"I'm excited for a tough 2022 schedule, which will test our progress as a program," Neilson said. "This is a big-time preseason schedule, with three teams from last season's top 10: UCLA, who comes to Logan, Pitt, a final four team, and BYU. Additionally, our conference continues to improve with an influx of talented players and really good coaching. Per PABLO rankings, the Mountain West was the sixth-best conference in the country. We have big goals for this season and will be prepared to defend our conference title and make a run in the postseason. We can't wait to pack the Estes with Aggie volleyball fans and continue to build momentum around our program."

The Aggies will open the campaign by hosting its Northern Utah Invitational with matches against Cal Poly and UCLA on Friday, Aug. 26. The Bruins finished the 2021 season ranked No. 13 in the nation.
 
USU then travels to Provo, Utah, for the BYU Invitational No. 2 from Sept. 1-3. The Aggies first take on the Cougars on Thursday, Sept. 1, before facing Pitt on Friday, Sept. 2, and Cincinnati on Saturday, Sept. 3. Both Pitt and BYU ranked in the top 10 in 2021, as the Panthers ranked fourth and the Cougars ranked ninth.
 
Utah State makes a trip to the Beaver State, stopping first in Corvallis, Oregon, on Friday, Sept. 9, for matches against Oregon State and Portland State. USU then takes on Portland in Portland on Saturday, Sept. 10.
 
The Aggies return to Logan to host Utah Valley on Tuesday, Sept. 13, before closing out the week with an in-state road trip to Salt Lake City to face Utah on Friday, Sept. 16, and taking on Weber State in Ogden on Saturday, Sept. 17. The Utes were ranked No. 18 in the final poll of the 2021 campaign.
 
USU opens Mountain West action with a pair of home matches as Utah State hosts Air Force on Thursday, Sept. 22, and New Mexico on Saturday, Sept. 24. The Aggies close out the month at Nevada on Thursday, Sept. 29.
 
Utah State opens the month of October at San José State on Saturday, Oct. 1, before returning to Logan for a three-match homestand as the Aggies host San Diego State on Thursday, Oct. 6, Fresno State on Saturday, Oct. 8, and Boise State on Tuesday, Oct. 11. USU continues MW play at UNLV on Thursday, Oct. 13, and at Wyoming on Thursday, Oct. 20.
 
The Aggies welcome Colorado State to the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum on Saturday, Oct. 22, before traveling to Boise State on Tuesday, Oct. 25. USU then hosts UNLV on Saturday, Oct. 29.
 
USU heads to California for its first two November matches with road trips at Fresno State and San Diego State on Thursday, Nov. 3, and Saturday, Nov. 5, respectively. Utah State hosts San José State and Nevada for its final home matches of the campaign on Thursday, Nov. 10, and Saturday, Nov. 12, respectively. The Aggies conclude their regular season at New Mexico on Thursday, Nov. 17, and at Air Force on Saturday, Nov. 19.
 
The 2022 MW Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 23-25, in Fort Collins, Colorado.
