LOGAN, Utah – Utah State Interim Director of Athletics Jerry Bovee announced Thursday that the Aggie football team will play a home-and-home series with UTEP in 2025 and 2028.
Utah State will host UTEP on Aug. 30, 2025, and then play the Miners in El Paso, Texas, on Sept. 9, 2028.
The two teams have met three previous times, with Utah State winning each game. The first meeting was in 1960, with the Aggies posting a 20-7 win. USU then notched a 21-6 win in El Paso the following season. The last time the two teams played one another was in the 2014 New Mexico Bowl, as USU recorded a 21-6 victory.
UTEP posted a 5-7 record this season as it tied for seventh-place in Conference USA with a 3-5 league mark.
