LOGAN, Utah — In celebration of its 25-year anniversary, the Mountain West Conference announced its top 25 soccer players in league history, a list which includes former Utah State midfielder and current assistant coach Ashley Cardozo.
Cardozo, who played for the Aggies from 2017-21, is one of the most decorated and accomplished players in program history. The Salt Lake City native is USU's program record holder in career assists (32), game-winning goals (13) and shots on goal (121), and ranks third in career points (78) and sixth in goals (23).
A five-year letterwinner who started all 84 games of her collegiate career, Cardozo earned first-team all-Mountain West honors in 2017 and 2021, and second-team all-Mountain West honors in 2018 and 2019. She also earned a spot on the 2021 United Soccer Coaches All-Pacific Region First Team.
After a stint playing professional soccer, Cardozo returned to Logan as the team's director of operations, then transitioned into an assistant coach role prior to the 2023 season.
